Augusto Mulanovich
Augusto joined CSF in September 2024. With over 25 years of experience, Augusto has been involved in numerous projects and consultancies focused on sustainable development and nature conservation both in Peru and internationally. His expertise encompasses managing NGOs, conserving natural areas, developing bio/eco businesses, and providing environmental training. He has substantial knowledge in forest policies and climate change. Most recently, Augusto served as the chief advisor on REDD+ at the National Forestry and Wildlife Service of Peru (SERFOR), where he contributed to policy proposals and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening government capabilities. As an entrepreneur, he has pioneered butterfly farming in Peru, founding the country’s first butterfly farm in the Amazon.
Augusto holds a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Conservation with a specialization in Policy and Management from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. Additionally, he has earned a professional degree in Forestry and an undergraduate degree in Forestry Science from the National Agrarian University of Peru. In his free time, Augusto enjoys bird and butterfly watching, cycling, hiking, and surfing.
